Bert Strolenberg, Sonic Immersion
Australian musician Andrew Lahiff has released quite a list of atmospheric ambient music during the last decade (of which parts where available as free download through his site and beyond), to which now "Somewhere Under the Sky" is added.

The eight long tracks on the album offer a nice balance between textural and slightly sequenced music easily creating a comfortable, expansive and drifting soundscape environment with cinematic impact.

Its darker and lighter shades nicely shape-shift, sometimes even containing mysterious, foreboding undercurrents, but Lahiff's compelling textural landscapes and expansive spheres always end up leaving a relaxed, immersive feel that fans of Steve Roach or Altus certainly will appreciate.
Nicely done, Andrew!
